Self-Sufficiency starts with you

Louisville Survivability & Self-Sufficiency is dedicated to helping individuals and families build practical skills, strengthen their independence, and create a more resilient community through education, preparedness, and cooperation.

Building a stronger future together

We believe everyone has the ability—and the right—to become more self-sufficient. Our mission is to encourage practical preparedness by teaching skills that help people secure their own food, water, resources, and essential survival knowledge in a peaceful and responsible way.

Our goal is not to promote fear or distrust, but to empower our community with the confidence and knowledge to care for themselves and support one another when challenges arise.

As the saying goes:

"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." - unknown

That philosophy is the heart of everything we do.

Louisville Survivability & Self-Sufficiency is a community-driven nonprofit committed to helping people become more resilient through education, outreach, and shared resources. Whether we're discussing gardening, food preservation, emergency preparedness, sustainable living, or practical life skills, our goal is to help people build a secure future through their own efforts.

Real change begins when people work together. Whether you'd like to volunteer, attend meetings, donate, share your knowledge, or support one of our community projects, there is a place for you.

Every contribution—large or small—helps us strengthen our community and expand opportunities for others to become more self-sufficient.
